From the vaguely bland to the downright monotonous, what are the blasé ways you pass the time? Watching paint dry? Watching grass grow?

I quite enjoy watching the grass dry out. Depending on the climate, it can take varying amounts of time. It took several more hours for the grass to dry in Texas than in Washington, when I carried out these tests three years ago. I enjoy seeing these differences.

Watching grass dry sounds like an unorthodox form of boredom. I will remember to try at some point in the future.
Personal favorite ways to pass time in a boring manner include clockwatching, tuning metronome collection, and ironing shirts.

I tried tuning my metronome once. It went quite well. I should do it again sometime.
I also enjoy sitting and staring at a wall. If I can find a perfectly flat, uniform wall to stare at, that is the best, but even walls with some irregularities are pleasurable. A nice break from the excitement of the rest of my bedroom.

I've recently found that I enjoy staring at my bedroom ceiling. I see objects and faces in the texture.
Should I be worried? Is it abnormal that I find enjoyment in staring at something as disorganized as the garbled mess of lumps and bumps that create the texture of my ceiling?
I hope I have not ventured too terribly far from the original subject of this board.

I love looking up at the sky when it's completely covered up by clouds and seeing what shapes I can see in it. Sometimes, on a really exciting day, it rains and then I can watch the drops fall into puddles, although not for long as I cannot handle that much excitement.

I flipped through a pile of blank, lineless, plain white paper at a stationery store. Within moments the neurons in my brain commenced firing and my heart began racing. This was too much for me and I was forced to retreat to my bedroom, where I stared at a blank white wall.

I stared at a blank white paper for several hours yesterday. It was boring. I loved it.

I particularly enjoy turning off my internet and trying to load websites, refreshing several times. Reading the same error message once and again fills me with boredom and satisfaction.

I attempted to count all the fibers in my house's carpet. I didn't finish because I started to feel compelled and stimulated.

Just this afternoon I had a bowl of unflavored tofu and a slice of white bread.
Then I accidentally looked out of the window and saw a butterfly. I had to shut myself into a completely white room and think about white for three hours before I finally got back to my normal, bland self.

I folded laundry today. I think I did it wrong though; my black shirt stained my white and grey shirts and I felt stimulated by the change. I had to calm myself down before I could finish.

Rainboom, I am trying very hard to control myself right now. Please stop posting these stimulating, colorful pictures all over the forum. They are extremely disturbing. Please take them away, now. I have the power to ban, you know, but if you act first, I won't.
