Is there anything you like to read to make your boring day even more boring? My personal favourite is the phonebook. If I'm feeling really adventurous, I might even read the manual for my parent's VCR.
What about you? What books are your most boring?

I enjoy reading the phonebook, as well. Sometimes, I read elementary school math textbooks with extreme care. Occasionally, when I'm willing to handle some excitement, I read the dictionary or the thesaurus. But I can only take those in small doses.

I, too, read the phonebook. I have also taken to reading Robert's Rules of Order, and when I am feeling adventurous, I might pick up a newspaper and read about the stock market. The one day I dared to read what the hooligans my age read, I almost fainted. It was too much for me. Those foolish hooligans, reading stories of obsessive vampires that obviously have too much glitter on. I must try to have them switch over to the phonebook.
I request that somebody send me a copy of their parents' VCR manual, as Madame Celestial suggested. It sounds utterly perfect.

Oh, yes, I wholeheartedly agree about the vampire stories, Candy. An acquaintance once recommended Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, saying that it was extremely boring, but I found it far too exciting for my tastes. It wasn't as bad as some of the other books I've attempted to read, though, like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone or that one book by Tamora Pierce that I tried to read. I barely got a chapter into either before I felt like fainting from the excitement. I got nearly a third of the way through Twilight.

I read books in languages I'm not fluent in. You have to be very careful, though, because sometimes there can be a few words that are similar, and as soon as you start undertanding, the boredom value goes down drastically. =(
I recommend books with alphabets you're not familiar with, as long as the symbols are boring enough.
